A 9-round Swiss tournament played one evening per month, from September 2026 to May 2027. Open to all players — come and test yourself against competitive opposition in a friendly, well-organised event.

- 1st Place: 5 × entry fee
- 2nd Place: 3 × entry fee
- 3rd Place: 1 × entry fee
- Rating Prize: 1 × entry fee
Based on 30 entries: 1st £225, 2nd £135, 3rd £45, Rating £45
Plus trophy for the winner
Note: As entries grow, we may split into rating-based sections in future. Prize fund is proportional to the number of entries.
Format
- 9-round Swiss system
- Time control: 60 minutes + 30 seconds per move
- Games start at 7:15pm sharp
- Venue must be vacated by 10:00pm
- One round per month (last Wednesday)
- ECF rated
Entry Information
- Entry fee: £45 for all 9 rounds
- Open to all — no minimum rating required
- Players must have an ECF membership (or be willing to join)
- Half-point byes available with advance notice (max 2)
- Default loss for no-show without notice
